CONDITIONS UPON WHICH PROPERTY IS REMOVED,
PACKED, OR TRANSPORTED BY 365 MOVES (Pty) Ltd 

This contract explains your rights, obligations, and responsibilities and those
of 365 MOVES (Pty) LTD. When we use the word “you” it means
the customer, when we use the words “we” or “us” it means 365 MOVES
(Pty) LTD. These conditions can only be changed or amended by written
agreement between us. Our liability for loss or damage is limited (in this
regard please pay special attention to Clauses 4 & 5).

1. INVENTORY LIST : 

It is important to be meticulous in compiling your inventory list.
All items that require transportation must be indicated on your inventory list.
Please inform us in advance of any changes on your inventory list in advance as it
ensure that the appropriate vehicle and crew is reserved / sent / on hand to
facilitate / oversee your move efficiently.
All changes must be made in writing and sent to us via email.
Only items indicated on your inventory list will be transported/moved.
No negotiations regarding work not quoted for with staff will be tolerated and if
caught, the staff member/s will be subject to severe disciplinary measures.
No alcoholic beverages are to be served/handed to our staff.
All items must be of the nature that 4 men must be able to carry and load them
unless arranged with management to the contrary.

2. ACCESSIBILITY AND PARKING :  

The accessibility of your premises is of the utmost importance.
If carrying of your goods at either your collection or delivery address exceeds 50
meters you shall be charged accordingly for a carry fee (additional staff) or a
shuttle service (additional vehicle)
Goods that don’t fit through doorways and passages will not be transported.
365 MOVES needs to be informed in advance of any narrow doorways / small
lifts / narrow hallways or stairs.
Please note that if there is a lift in your building it will be your responsibility to
get the lift keys to ensure that the lift door remains open while we work.
Alternatively, you should provide a person to hold the door so that our staff are
able to move your items unhindered. We will not be liable for any damage to the
lift or its sensor.
You must please ensure that you have the necessary manuals and specialised tools
for dismantling/handling of all items.

Please assess the accessibility of your premises and indicate it clearly on the
inventory list.
This includes height (trees and branches as well), width, and tonnage restrictions.
Should you be a resident in an estate or complex, please consult your body
corporate for help on accessibility.
If any uncertainty arises about access to your premises, please notify us, and a
company representative will assist you in analyzing your premises and make
special arrangements if necessary.
Please note our vehicles will not be permitted to go on dirt roads/sand roads, in
this incidence a shuttle vehicle will be required.
It is the customer’s responsibility to arrange suitable parking for the removal
truck before arrival.
Please arrange parking for our truck and/or any necessary cooperation
and compliance with your body corporate/neighbors/Home Owner’s
Association.

3. ARRIVAL TIME :  

Please note that all times given are estimated times of arrival and may vary between 2-3
hours.
Your patience in this regard is highly appreciated.

4. TRANSPORTATION OF YOUR GOODS :  

Please be packed and ready for us before we arrive so we can start the
move on time without delays.
Please do not leave any valuables lying around including cell phones,
wallets and sunglasses, or jewellery. We will not be liable for the
misplacement or loss of these items.
All electrical and plumbing must be disconnected before your move.
Please advise us in advance before the move should you require us to
disconnect any plumbing or electrical items.
All items must be properly packed by the time of the move as no unpacked/
loose goods will be moved/handled/transported.
TVs and electronic equipment should be in a box when moving, should they not
be in a box they will be moved at the customer’s own risk and we can’t be held
liable should any damage occur.
All owner-packed cartons must be properly sealed with adhesive tape (top and
bottom)

Please ensure that all items on your inventory list are loaded by our team
prior to the departure as 365 MOVES will not return for any forgotten
items.
Please inspect the vehicle subsequent to the offloading for any goods which
might have stayed behind.
Pot plants are moved at customers’ own risk, should the pot or plant
get damaged during the removal, 365 MOVES will not be held liable.
Pot plants must be of the nature that 4 men must be able to carry and load them
unless arranged with management to the contrary.
365 MOVES reserves the right to employ sub-contractors.

5. GOODS IN-TRANSIT INSURANCE : 

Our goods-in-transit Insurance is at no extra cost to you and includes
limited coverage in the event of
Hijacking/theft of trucks/fire/riots/floods/vehicle accident/overturning /
accidental damage while in transit.
Only goods professionally packed, wrapped, and unpacked by 365 MOVES
will be insured.
365 MOVES and its staff members will not in any way be held liable for
damages not covered by the relevant insurance coverage of 365 MOVES.
In the event of a claim the excess amount payable by the client is a minimum of
R5000 or 10% of the claim value
We reserve the right to take damaged goods to a contractor of our choice.
We must be notied in writing of any damages to goods within 48 hours
of the move (delivery). This time limit is essential.

THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT COVERED BY OUR INSURANCE : 

• Jewellery, precious and semi-precious metals, and stones,
curiosities, items of art, money, documents, stamps, sunglasses,
keys, cell phones, tablets, laptops, and data.
• any item or property that is not included in the quote.
• any item that has been wrapped in protective wrapping by
anyone other than a 365 MOVES employee.
• Any items that have not been wrapped in protective wrapping
materials (Carton wrapping) by the sta of 365 moves.
• Owner-packed cartons ( Please ensure that the contents are
adequately wrapped and sealed )
• the functioning of electronic equipment and motor-driven goods.
• rearms, explosives, and dangerous substances.
• foods and drinks.

damage to plants transported, such as pot plants.
• any goods not packed / Wrapped or unpacked by our movers.
• items left inside furniture and loose unpacked items.
• items requiring special handling where we were not given
handling instructions in writing before the move

◦ property or goods damaged as a result of dicult access
◦ faults of any type related to defects, workmanship of the goods,
◦ wear, and tear.
◦ inherent vice or defect, vermin, insects, dampness, mildew, or
rust.
◦ Dents/scratches/chips (apply to all items)
◦ Damages to property including walls/oors/tiles/paint/pipes/
taps / Glass/gates/doors/gates / electrical Fittings

6. PAYMENT TERMS AND CANCELLATION CHARGES :  

◦ 50% Payment is required to book your move and the balance is to
be settled no later than 48 hours before the collection date.
◦ Funds must be reected in our account before the move, as we do
not accept bank-generated notications as proof of payment
◦ If you wish to cancel/postpone your move you must notify us in
writing more than 7 days (including weekends and public holidays)
before the move date.

◦ If you cancel or postpone your move more than 7 days prior to the scheduled Move only 50% of
the total amount will be refunded.
◦ If your booking is made within 7 days (including weekends and
public holidays) of your move date, it is not possible to cancel/
postpone your move and receive a refund.
◦ Any refund request should be made at least 7 days (including
weekends and public holidays) before the move. The refund will be done within 14 business days.
◦ There will be no refund for any item(s) we were unable to move, or
for any other changes to the move details which are made on the
day of the move
◦ The quote is based on the move details captured on your Inventory
list.
◦ Any changes to the details may incur additional costs.
◦ We may change the quotation should the quotation not be
accepted within 30 days of issue.

7. EXCLUDED FROM THE QUOTATION : 

◦ . Moving items that require more than 4 sta members.
◦ . Removing and reinstalling any doors/security gates.
◦ . Disconnecting or reconnecting any electrical or plumbing
equipment.
◦ . Dismantling or assembling of any furniture.
◦ . Hoisting of any furniture or items.
◦ . Wrapping materials/packing materials and cartons are not
included in the quoted amount.
◦ Any items that need to be delivered to an alternative address or an
alternative delivery date.

ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS & CONDITIONS :  

• By agreeing to these terms and conditions you declare that all
goods to be removed are your property or you have the authority
of the owner to enter into a contract in respect of the goods to be
removed.
• You may not defer payment to us or oset any amount due to us
in the event of a claim or dispute.
• 365 MOVES will not be liable for any loss of income relating to
damage/loss to/of any item caused by negligence or not.
• Only 365 MOVES personnel may travel in our vehicle. We
cannot transport customers, customers’ pets, or other
members of the public.
